december-calendar

Can you believe it, we’ve officially begun the last month of 2014! With only weeks between us and a brand new year, we’re on our last chances to make 2014 one to remember.  To make sure, you’ve got a plenty to look forward to this month, I’ve put together the ultimate December calendar of all that you’ll want to see and celebrate. Take a look at what made my list and let me know what else is on yours!

December 1st
Cyber Monday

Today is your last chance to snatch up a post-Thanksgiving sale. If Black Friday and Small Business Saturday haven’t yet wiped out your wallet, I definitely recommend checking out these sales:

And if you’re feeling extra generous you can send one my way because oh yeah, it’s my birthday!

December 3rd
Rockefeller Center tree lighting

For all of our New York Single Girls, you won’t want to miss the annual holiday tradition of the Christmas tree lighting on Rockefeller Center with live performances going from 7-9 PM. The rest of us can cozy up with a hot apple cider and watch it from the comfort of our couches on NBC.

December 5th
Jingle Ball LA

Our Los Angeles Single Girls get the chance to ring in the holidays will another kind of live performance, KROQ’s annual Jingle Ball. This year’s concert features Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Pharrell, Iggy Azalea, Jessie J,  Rita Ora, and many others. The show sells out every year so make sure to get your tickets now if you want to go!

December 13th
Great Dickens’ Christmas Fair SF

Celebrating in San Francisco? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered too. For 5 weekends in a row you get the chance to celebrate Christmas like you are living in the midst of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Over 3 acres are transformed into London town complete with lamp-lit lanes, pubs, theatres, dance floors, music halls, tea rooms and shops.

December 15th
National Cupcake Day

Given that it’s my birthday month, I couldn’t leave National Cupcake Day off this list. Stay tuned for a special giveaway we’ll be hosting and you’re chance to win a gift card to one of our favorite and most famed cupcake shops. Hint Hint.

December 16th
First day of Hanukkah

To all who celebrate the Festival of Lights, we wish you a Happy Hanukkah!

December 19th
Wild with Reese Witherspoon hits theaters

If you are looking for a reason to head to the theaters, might I recommend the movie adaptation of Cheryl Strayed‘s novel Wild starring Reese Witherspoon? The film follows a young woman who’s mother’s death sets her off on thousand mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail. Though it has yet to hit theaters, critics are already calling the film “powerfully moving and emotionally resonant”. Sounds like a winner to me.

December 25th
Christmas

For all of our girls who celebrate it, we wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas! If you’re just starting to think about what gifts you’d like to give your friends and family, make sure to watch out for our upcoming gift guides!

December 31st
New Year’s Eve

Last but not least we end the month with New Year’s Eve. Have you started to think about how you might celebrate this year?
